Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but after the loss of my daughter, it became part of how God carried me through grief and helped me notice beauty, hope, and purpose in ordinary places.

My faith shapes how I see people and why I love street photography—meeting others, hearing pieces of their stories, and capturing honest moments that remind us how connected we are.

As healing progressed, my art grew with it. What started with photography has expanded into storytelling, reflections, and other forms of creating. Substack has become a place for that art to keep growing and shifting—to share more of the stories behind the images, the people I meet, and the things I notice along the way.

But the heart behind the photography remains the same. Each photo purchased helps build Jessika’s Fund, with the goal of sponsoring someone’s journey through rehab. We’re still looking for the right facility or partnership to help make that possible.

If you received a photo from me for free, please don’t feel any pressure to donate. It’s what I call a “give back"—when God puts it on my heart to provide someone with a print simply as a gift.

Whether I’ve captured you in a moment, you’ve purchased a photo, shared your story with me, or simply followed along—thank you for being part of the journey.
